Volvo Race Newport 2015

Special thanks to the 125, 000 visitors that chose to partake in the 2 week long event event.

Averaging about 14,000 people each day over a period of 12 days, expectations for attendance were supposidly in the neighborhood of 60,000 and 80,000 people. By surpassing those numbers by a vast amount, the town of Newport  has been awarded exclusive rights to negotiate the North AMerican stop over once again as early as May of 2018.

Using Fort Adams as a natural stopover for Race Village due to its abuntant size, it is easy to see how much of an impact the race had made over a 12 day period.Using the grounds proved more than enough space for spectators to view a global event that touches other cities around the globe. From Lorient, France to Cape Twon, South Africa, now Newport has made its mark in the Volvo Race Newport history books.
