Beach Pond Recreation Area

Available for boating and fishing, and as a day use swimming area, the Beach Pond Recreation Area features seasonal lifeguards and modern restroom facilities on the shore of Beach Pond . While fisherman may fish from shore, they may not fish within the swimming area. Anglers might catch largemouth bass, pickerel, perch, or catfish as well as smallmouth bass (one of the few ponds in the state that smallmouth bass are found), or walleye, which are stocked by the State of Connecticut . Rhode Island also stocks Brown and Rainbow Trout. There is a boat access at this site on the Connecticut side, but it is not suitable for the launching of larger craft.
